St. Illyd’s Church
St. Illyd's Church, Llanilid. St Illyd's is the oldest church in the area and is actually about half a mile outside the boundaries of Pencoed, to the east of the town in a country setting. Parts of the church are believed to be Celtic in origin and date from before the Norman Conquest. The church was renovated in Victorian times. Alongside side the church are the remains of an early Norman motte. The present Rector is Reverend Nicholas P. Jones.
Trinity Chapel
Trinity Presbyterian Church, Penybont Road. An English medium chapel at one time associated with Salem Chapel. A small chapel was first built in 1897. The present chapel dates from 1907.
Zion Chapel
Zion Pentecostal Chapel, Penprysg Road. The small chapel of Zion was opened in 1931. The present day pastor is Mr F.C. Newcombe.
