Meeting Places
Besides being able to hire rooms in the various pubs and clubs in the town, there are a number of other venues that individuals or organisations are able to hire.

In the centre of town is the Pencoed Miners’ Welfare  and Community Hall. This building consists of a large main hall with stage, a modern lounge for smaller meetings, and a computer suite with 12 modern computers. This hall is the venue for many of the Community Education Courses being run in the town. Telephone No. 861054

In Penprysg, is the St. David’s Church Hall which consists one large hall with stage and kitchen facilities. The hall is the venue for the local Welsh Play Group and the local Guides and Brownies.

On Coychurch Road is Salem Vestry, which is the venue where the local branch of the St. John’s Ambulance meets.

In Hendre, alongside the new inner bypass road is the local Scouts Hall.

There are also rooms to hire at the two local sports pavilions at Felindre Road Sports Fields and Woodland Avenue Sports Fields these can be booked through the Leisure Department of the Bridgend County Borough Council.
