Although we are quite a new club lots of members seem keen to get stuck straight into events, so I'll try to keep this page up to date. Some of the events listed will be directly related to triathlon and some to other sporting interests, some will directly involve the club and others will be further afield. If there is something going on that you think should be on this page let me know, either by Email or at a training session.

16th February: swim coaching forum at Stirling University

23rd February: Galloway Tri training event. A relaxed, low key swim/run event. All are welcome

2nd March: Stranraer half marathon and fun runs

30th March: Galloway Tri training event. A mini tri.

31st March: Crichton duathlon, organised by the Dumfries Triathlon Club

7th April: STA Aquathon series event - Portobello (Edinburgh)

14th April: Kirroughtree Forest races, organised by the Galloway Harriers

14th April: Fife sprint triathlon.

20th/21st April: roller skiing session at New Luce, organised by Harry (starts after the morning swim, of course)

21st April: Ayr duathlon

27th April: Scottish Concept Rowing Championships to be held at the Ryan Centre, Stranraer

27th April: STA Aquathon series event - Edinburgh

5th May: Aberfeldy standard triathlon

12th May: Glasgow sprint & novice triathlon at Erskine

19th May: Lomond Tri Club aquathon and junior triathlon at Alexandria

26th May: STA Aquathon series event - Newton Stewart race. For further details click here

2nd June: STA Aquathon series event - Stirling, plus sprint and novice triathlons

9th June: Ayr sprint

25th August: STA Aquathon - Helensburgh

7th September: Annan duathlon

22nd September: East Kilbride duathlon

6th October: STA Aquathon - Stirling - series final

The STA Aquathon events are an ideal introduction to multisports, and comprise swimming and running, with distances varying according to how old you are. Points are awarded for the events that you do, with the four best results counting for the overall prize. While primarily aimed at kids most of the dates include some form of adult events. Maybe, if there's enough interest we could try to get a mini bus for some of the closer events.
