Historical Events & Dates

• 1552: “Three bells i the steple, ij lyttill bells i the churche.”
• 1715: Ring of four Rudhall bells installed
• 1818-1819: All four bells were rehung in a new frame with iron stays for the wheels. The work was carried out by Mr. Charles Balshaw of Ormskirk
• 1935: Bells retuned and augmented to six my Messrs. Gillett & Johnston and Co. of Croydon. First peal on the bells
