Historical Events & Dates

• 1848: Church opened
• 1870: Ring of eight bells installed, cast by John Murphy of Dublin
• 1885: First (and last) peal on the old bells. .
• 1920: Bells recast by Taylor’s of Loughborough and were Christened on 18th August.
• 1925: First peal on the new bells.
• 2001: Bells restored recently by Hayward Mills
