Welcome to Phil's Moths home page. My wife and I both

really enjoy our fairly new hobby of "mothing". We became interested on a birdwatching holiday in

Norfolk a few years ago where the owner of the holiday accommodation ran some moth traps.

We have been hooked ever since. We have been mothing in our own garden in Loughborough,

Leicestershire since the summer of 1999. On these pages we have listed all the moths caught and

seen since then and we have also included photographs of many of them. We have endeavoured to

make sure that the lists and photographs are accurate but this site is not intended as a sole aid to

identification and we would recommend using the excellent moth identification books now available.
