Wren

We have been recording birds either flying over or in the garden since 1994. We provide food and water

year round which consists mainly of wild bird seed, sunflower seeds, black sunflower seeds, peanuts, niger

seeds, fat balls and bread, fruit etc..

Nesting birds we know of are Blackbird, Dunnock and Blue Tits. The most common birds are not surprisingly

Blackbird, House Sparrow, Dunnock, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Starling, Blue Tit, Robin, Collared Dove and

Woodpigeon. Highlights over the years have been - Waxwings in March 1996, a fly-over Greenshank in

August 1998, Common Buzzard, Grey Wagtail, Brambling, Fieldfare, Redwing, Redpoll, Reed Bunting,

Treecreeper and, during the winter of 2001/2, a female Blackcap.
