Join Us

Everyone is welcome to join at any time. You don’t have to audition, be a trained singer or even read music. All you need is a love of music, a good ear and loads of enthusiasm. Joining a choir can help you improve singing technique and, as a bonus, it’s a fantastic way to exercise. Our members come from all walks of life and all age ranges, with one common interest - singing. If you are under 30, you may qualify for free membership and singing lessons under our bursary scheme.

And it’s not just about singing - it’s a great way to meet some amazing people and make new friends. Details of the exciting music the choir will perform this season can be found on the Performance pages of the web site.

There is no charge for the first three rehearsals; just come and see if you like us.

The choir rehearses on Mondays from 7:15 to 9:30pm during school term times in the United Reform Church, Main Street, Cockermouth, where you are assured of a warm welcome.

As well as regular concerts, the choir has a lively programme of social and fundraising activities.
