Text Box: Mammals
Text Box: The Yellow-necked Mouse, Right: was spotted by my daughter Hannah. It was feeding on nuts and seeds that had dropped from the bird feeders and was a regular customer over a period of a few weeks. It is larger than its close relative the Wood Mouse and is more colourful
Distribution data for the species is patchy throughout the UK and only 3 sightings have been recorded since 1999 in Warwickshire. Where it exists, it can be locally common.

DID YOU KNOW?

Rabbits eat their own pooh! Because the leafy material they live on is hard for them to digest, it passes through their gut and is re-eaten to fully break it down.
