Reflexology
is the practice of treating reflexes in the hands & feet that
correspond to all parts of the body.
This can help to reduce stress, improve circulation and enable the
body to return to a state of normalisation.
Reflexology activates the body’s own healing potential.
Who
can benefit from reflexology?
Reflexology
& Babies Reflexology
in Pregnancy (inc. Lactation)
As a clinical reflexologist I do
not make claims to cure diseases, but most people will benefit from
treatments in some way.
Stress is
a common fact of life today.
One of the main effects of reflexology is to induce relaxation, which
may help in many stress related disorders.
Reflexology
is an holistic approach to care, treating the whole person and not just
the disease, which often helps with underlying problems.
Reflexology
is extremely safe and can be used to treat all ages.
However, certain conditions require special care and a close liaison
with your medical practitioner.
Reflexology
has been used to help with a wide range of disorders, including:-
Asthma
Digestive and bowel problems
Back pain
Headaches, including migraine
High blood pressure
Sinus problems

What
will happen during a treatment?
The
length of a treatment is usually 1 hour.
The first treatment may take longer to allow for personal details,
history and reasons for treatment to be discussed.
Any information given is strictly confidential.
You
will sit in a reclined position with your bare feet raised.
As your feet are being treated, any reactions will be noted and
recorded.
These are important, as they are a guide to areas that require
attention.
At the end of the session you should feel relaxed with a
sense of well-being.
Will
I have any reactions?
Often
there is no reaction.
Occasionally people report having a runny nose, slight headache, general
tiredness, or a need to visit the toilet more frequently. None of these
should last more than a day or two, and is a sign that the body is
ridding itself of toxins.
Most
people report having a calm relaxed feeling of well-being.
Some people almost bounce out of a treatment feeling totally invigorated
and full of energy.
How
many treatments will I need?
Reflexology
is a natural system that 'peels' away the layers until the original
problem is encountered.
When the root cause is finally dealt with it is amazing how many other
problems have been eliminated on the way.
The length of time this process takes varies between one person and
another; however I will not exceed six treatments if no reactions
or benefits have been experienced.
