Emily's poorly leg.
30th: After 3 nights' disturbed sleep with leg pain, a cautious trip to
the doctor ended up with admission to the Children's hospital
followed by a CT scan and bone biopsy to confirm (eventually) osteomyelitis
(bone infection) in Emily's tibia.
At least there was Playhouse Disney to make up for the discomfort!
Emily-Rose was in the ward down the corridor.
Unfortunately the treatment required a 3 week stay in hospital for IV antibiotics every 6 hours. We were allowed out between doses though, so we had several trips to Weston Park and the museum.
7th: Hooked up to the drip.
13th: On the mend, getting some exercise at the park.
19th: After 3 weeks, the antibiotics hadn't had the expected results, so they switched to another one. The good news was that this one was once-daily dosing, so Emily could finally go home to sleep in her own bed.
