Half-term holiday.
23rd: Bank Holiday weekend camping at Edale. We managed a 2-mile walk in about 3 hours!
The youngest Explorers: Isla and Matthew.
Hunting for bugs.
24th: Climbing at Lawrencefield. Emily and Katie attempt their first HVS!
25th: Striking camp. I'm sure we used to sneer at people with gazebos!
26th: Climbing trees on the way to the park.
27th: Visiting Grandma & Grandad in York, with a trip to Dig, for some hands-on archaeology.
On the phone to Mummy (busy at home SATS marking).
28th: A walk around the city walls and a ride on an open-top bus.
29th: Katie had a day at her friend Hannah's, so Emily had a "Daddy Day". We went for a bike ride and picnic at Derwent reservoir.
Then we fitted in a couple of hours at the Climbing Works. Despite the heat, Emily enthusiastically took on all the challenges we could think up.
