Camping holiday in Braithwaite. Delayed slightly by miserable weather forecast, but it brightened up when we arrived.
Thursday - despite arriving late (4pm) we decided to make the most of the sunshine and headed up Dodd (1612'). Up in 2h, down in 1.
Posing on the campsite.
Friday - Katie took the lead at the start of today's walk up Outerside (1863').
Quite windy on the top, but we kept going (fuelled by toffee eclairs) and finally made it.
Saturday - some friends braved the weather to join us for the weekend. Saturday started with heavy rain, but Becky and Dave (who weren't camping! ;-) ) brought a nice weather forecast with them.
So Adrian got his wish to climb Catbells (1481')
We all enjoyed the scrambly bits near the top.
And we were rewarded with cake at the top!
Sunday - a boat ride on Derwentwater, with views of crowds of people on the ridge we'd climbed yesterday.
