21st:  A day out in London.

Catching the train from Aldershot with Auntie Lara:

Classic sightseeing pictures:

On our way to Buckingham Palace we noticed some activity at Horse Guards Parade.

Then we overheard a policeman telling someone they were about to "change the guard", so we legged it to Buckingham Palace.

We had to wait a while, and couldn't easily get closer, but eventually we got to see some Guards.

We had a picnic in St James's Park, and then it was on to Trafalgar Square.
No pigeons to feed (to recreate a photo from my childhood), but we clambered on the lions for a bit.

For the amusement of SSU staff:

We took the Tube to the British Museum, to look at Egyptian Mummies and statues.

After an ice cream(!) for good behaviour (and to keep us going), we made our way back via Covent Garden where some funny men showed off on their unicycles.

On the train back to Lara's.

22nd:  Having bypassed the parks yesterday, the girls were promised a trip to Lara's park, where Katie made a new friend.

We went out for lunch (photo by Emily):

Then we stopped off to visit cousin Dylan on the way home - but the camera ran out of batteries. :-(
