     Charles Mair was born on 27 August 1904 at 219½ Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of William Mair and Catharine Pirie. He was a witness at John Pirie Mair and Elizabeth Findlay's wedding at 14 Harbour Place, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 20 September 1923.3 He married Anne Kelly on 2 December 1941.2 Charles Mair died on 28 March 1999 at age 94.2
