Harry Mair was born on 8 December 1906 at 219½ Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of William Mair and Catharine Pirie. Harry Mair was a merchant seaman.2 He was the informant for, and present at, Catharine Mair's death at 14 Harbour Place, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 16 February 1953.2 He married Maureen Sharpe at St. Werburgh's Church, Chester, Cheshire, England, on 7 June 1962.2 Harry Mair died on 14 March 1972 at Chester, Cheshire, England, at age 65.2
