     Janet Wood was born circa 1835. She was the daughter of James Wood and Margaret Mair. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Reid". She married George Pirie at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 6 July 1885.1 As of 6 July 1885, her married name was Janet Pirie.
