She married George Mair at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 5 July 1859.3,4 As of 5 July 1859, her married name was Margaret Mair. Margaret Wood died on 13 January 1916 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 81.5,2 She was buried after 13 January 1916 at Cullen Cemetery, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.5
