     Helen Gardiner was born circa 1896. She was the daughter of George Gardiner and Margaret Ann Findlay. She married William Pirie at 4 Campbell Street, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 9 July 1918.1,2 As of 9 July 1918, her married name was Helen Pirie. Helen was usually known as 'Nellie' and lived at "The Bield", 23 Harbour Place, Portknockie. Helen died on 16 February 1982 at Seafield Hospital, Buckie, Moray, Scotland.3,4 She was buried after 16 February 1982 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Moray, Scotland.3
