John Wood was baptized on 30 July 1802 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 His family was known by the tee-name of "King". He was a fisherman. He married Margaret Smith at Parish of Rathven, Banffshire, Scotland, on 25 November 1828.3 John died on 27 December 1874 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 72.4,2
