David Mair was a fisherman and fishcurer. He married Jane Falconer at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 28 December 1894.2 The Buckie and District Directory for 1925 shows that David Mair lived at 27 Station Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.3 He was the informant for Ann Donaldson's death at 17 Church Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 10 February 1927.4,5 He was the informant for, and present at, John Mair's death at 32 Church Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 22 January 1932.6,5
