Isabel Pirie was born circa 1928. She was the daughter of William Pirie and Helen Gardiner. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Buxer". She married Alistair George Mair in 1954.1,2 As of 1954, her married name was Isabel Mair. Isabel died on 13 August 2005 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3 She was buried on 18 August 2005 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Moray, Scotland.3
