Catherine Mair was baptized on 3 November 1828 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.2,1 Her family was known by the tee-name of "Shavie". She married William Anderson at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 8 February 1855.3,1 As of 8 February 1855, her married name was Catherine Anderson. Catherine Mair died on 21 June 1882 at Banff District Asylum, Boyndie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 53.1
