Janet Mair was baptized on 31 January 1846 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 Her family was known by the tee-name of "Shavie". Janet Mair was also known as Jessie Mair. She married Alexander Forbes at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 6 January 1877.2,1 As of 6 January 1877, her married name was Janet Forbes. Janet died on 30 July 1922 at 8 Dunean Street, Banff, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 76.3,1
