     James Anderson was born on 10 November 1856 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of William Anderson and Catherine Mair. His family was known by the tee-name of "Coy". James Anderson was a fisherman. He married Mary Wilson, daughter of James Wilson and Ann Donaldson, on 11 October 1878 at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.2 He married Georgina Wood at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 1 April 1902.3,2 James died on 7 March 1905 at 74 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 48.2
