     David Pirie was born on 16 December 1920.1 He was the son of William Pirie and Barbara Ann Mair. He married Margaret A Robertson. He was the informant for Barbara Ann Pirie's death at on the public road between Portknockie and Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 17 October 1952. ; Snippet from the Banffshire Advertiser: "Two young friends killed - Two 15-year-old Portknockie girls were killed on the
road between Portknockie and Findochty, near Hillhead Cemetery on Friday
evening. They were Helen Stables, 22 Church Street, and Barbara Ann Pirie of 22
Pulteney Street who both received fatal injuries after being struck by a van. The
girls were on their way to visit a relative in Findochty at the time of the accident.
Helen worked in the Seafield Estates Office in Cullen while Barbara worked in a
chemist shop in Buckie. The van driver was taken into custody."2,1 David died on 24 February 1976 at age 55.3 He was buried after 24 February 1976 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Moray, Scotland.3
