Margaret Pirie was born on 12 February 1857 at Parish of Seafield, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of George Pirie and Margaret Mair. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Buxer". Margaret died on 17 September 1860 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 3.2
