     John Wood was born on 3 January 1858 at Parish of Seafield, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John Wood and Helen Sclater. His family was known by the tee-name of "Post". John Wood was a fisherman. He married Ann Wood at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 28 September 1883.2 He was the informant for, and present at, Isabella Wood's death at 146 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 15 December 1889.3,4 He was the informant for Catharine Pirie's death at 10 Seaforth Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 4 January 1922.5,4 The Buckie and District Directory for 1925 shows that John Wood lived at 1 Station Road, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.6 John died on 4 November 1933 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 75.2
