Alexander Mair was baptized on 12 July 1839 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 His family was known by the tee-name of "Bobbin Shy".2 He was a fisherman. He married Margaret Wood at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 5 July 1864.3,4 He was the informant for Alexander Mair's birth at Back Street, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 11 August 1869.5,4 Alexander Mair died on 28 January 1902 at Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 62.2
