     Helen Wood was born on 6 August 1872 at 4 Shore Street, Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of James Wood and Ann Hogg. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Doo". She married Alexander Mair at Seatown, Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, on 30 October 1896.1 As of 30 October 1896, her married name was Helen Mair. Helen died on 29 September 1934 at "Rocklyn", Barbank Street, Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 62.1,2
