     David Mair was born on 21 October 1883 at 225 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Alexander Mair and Elizabeth Pirie. His family was known by the tee-name of "Saucy". David Mair was a fisherman. He married Catharine Pirie at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 13 September 1912.3,2 He was the informant for Elizabeth Pirie Mair's death at 8 Admiralty Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 24 August 1921.4,2 The Buckie and District Directory for 1925 shows that David Mair lived at 7 Blantyre Place, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.5 He was the informant for, and present at, Elizabeth Mair's death at 1 Cliff Terrace, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 5 June 1943.6 David died on 6 April 1971 at age 87.2,7 He was buried after 6 April 1971 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.7
