     Jane Wood was born on 23 August 1867 at Fishcross, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland; There is another IGI record from the Parish of Seafield, Banff for the birth of Jane Wood. This was probably a transcription from the original birth record in the Parish of Fraserburgh.1,2 She was the daughter of James Wood and Catherine Mair. Her family was known by the tee-name of "King". She married Andrew Ritchie Mair at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 15 December 1893.3,2 As of 15 December 1893, her married name was Jane Mair.
She was listed as head of household's wife in the 1911 census at 443 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Andrew R Mair, head; Jean R Mair, wife; Margaret R Mair, daughter; James R Mair, son; Elsie R Mair, daughter; Catherine Mair, daughter.4
Jane died before 1928.
