     James Wood "King" was born on 19 July 1840 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of William Wood and Margaret Imlach. His family was known by the tee-name of "King". James Wood was a fisherman. He married Catherine Mair at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 28 October 1865.2,3 He was the informant for Alexander Wood "King"'s birth at 57 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 25 December 1885.4 He was the informant for, and present at, an unknown person 's death at 202 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 21 April 1899.5 James died on 6 September 1902 at 57 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 62.6
