     Helen Pirie was born on 5 May 1834.1 She was the daughter of George Pirie and Margaret Flett. Helen Pirie was baptized on 24 May 1834 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 Her family was known by the tee-name of "Skipper". She married James Wood at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 28 February 1857.2,3 As of 28 February 1857, her married name was Helen Wood. Helen died on 7 June 1875 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 41.4,5
