Alexander Pirie "Skipper" was born on 11 May 1841.1 He was the son of George Pirie and Margaret Flett. Alexander Pirie was baptized on 26 May 1841 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 His family was known by the tee-name of "Skipper". He was a fisherman. He married Helen Mair at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 15 October 1863.2,3 He married Jane Flett at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 25 June 1881.4 Alexander died on 16 October 1907 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 66.4
