     Helen Pirie was born on 30 July 1863 at Parish of Seafield, Banffshire, Scotland; There is another IGI record from the Parish of Rathven, Banff for the birth of Helen Pirie. This was probably a transcription from the original birth record in the Parish of Seafield.1 She was the daughter of John Pirie and Helen Wood. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Skipper".
