William Wood was born on 14 May 1821.1 He was the son of William Wood and Jane Donaldson. William Wood was baptized on 20 May 1821 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 His family was known by the tee-name of "King". He was a shoemaker. He married Mary Sclater at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 25 February 1847.2,3 He was the informant for, and present at, Alexander Wood's death at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 1 April 1882.4 He was the informant for, and present at, William Sclater's death at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 27 January 1891.5 William died on 13 January 1894 at 193 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 72.6
