Helen Wood was born on 29 June 1851 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of Alexander Wood and Ann Sutherland. Helen Wood was baptized on 3 July 1851 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 Her family was known by the tee-name of "Park". She married George Mair at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 23 September 1871.2 As of 23 September 1871, her married name was Helen Mair. Helen died on 17 January 1940 at 4 Seafield Terrace, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 88.2
