     Ann Lobban was born on 30 January 1872 at Parish of Rathven, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of George Lobban and Isabel Pirie. She married James Cowie at Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 8 December 1899.2 As of 8 December 1899, her married name was Ann Cowie.
