Mary Mair was born on 31 August 1866 at Parish of Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland; There is another IGI record from the Parish of Seafield, Banff for the birth of Mary Mair. This was probably a transcription from the original birth record in the Parish of Peterhead.1 She was the daughter of James Mair and Ann Falconer. Mary Mair married George Findlay, son of James Findlay and Helen Geddes, on 5 July 1889 at Seatown, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.2 As of 5 July 1889, her married name was Mary Findlay.
