     Margaret was born in 1918. She was the daughter of Cummine John Cheyne and Elizabeth Morrison. Margaret Hellen Cheyne was known as "Elma" to distinguish her from her aunt, Margaret Helen Cheyne. She married John Howard Gaston in 1948.1 As of 1948, her married name was Margaret Hellen (Elma) Gaston. She married George A S Mair in 1960.1 As of 1960, her married name was Margaret Hellen (Elma) Mair. Margaret died on 28 January 1988.2 Her body was interred after 28 January 1988 at Kirkton Cemetery, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2
