     Helen was born at Cairnorrie, Methlick, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 4 March 1863.1,2 She was the daughter of John Cheyne and Helen Ironside.
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1871 census at Balnamoon, New Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: John Cheyne, head; Hellen Cheyne, wife; George Cheyne, son; William Cheyne, son; Ellen Cheyne, daughter; Sarah Cheyne, daughter; Jane Cheyne, daughter; Mary Ann Cheyne, daughter.3
She was the informant for Mary Helen Cheyne's birth at Balnamoon, New Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 19 September 1886.4
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1901 census at Balnamoon, New Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: John Cheyne, head; Helen Ironside or Cheyne, wife; Helen Cheyne, daughter; Mary H Cheyne, granddaughter.5
Helen Cheyne emigrated on 30 September 1910 from Glasgow, Scotland; Helen Cheyne emigrated to Canada on the steam ship ‘Hesperian’. She was found on a passenger list for 30 September 1910 of the steam ship 'Hesperian'.6 She immigrated on 9 October 1910 to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.7 Helen died on 18 October 1952 at Moosomin, Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 89.7 She was buried after 18 October 1952 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Moosomin, Saskatchewan, Canada.7,8
