He married Catherine Ann Pirie at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 16 December 1898.4 The Buckie and District Directory for 1925 shows that Alexander Donaldson lived at 36 Station Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.5 Alexander died on 28 December 1934 at 36 High Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 62.3
