     Adam Wood was born on 1 February 1842 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Adam Wood and Ann Wood. Adam Wood was baptized on 14 February 1842 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 His family was known by the tee-name of "Dyce". He was a fisherman. He married Elizabeth Mair at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 11 October 1872.3,2 He was the informant for, and present at, Elizabeth Wood's birth at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 3 November 1877.4 He was the informant for Jessie Wood's birth at 224 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 28 November 1879.5,6 He was the informant for, and present at, Adam Wood's birth at 244 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 16 December 1883.7 He was the informant for John Mair's death at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 16 September 1897.8,6 Adam Wood died on 11 July 1921 at 17 Pulteney Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 79.9
