     James Mair "Johns" was born on 11 June 1891 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of James Mair and Margaret Mair. His family was known by the tee-name of "Johns". He married Isabella Flett at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 11 December 1913.1 He was the informant for Margaret Slater's death at 19 Seafield Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 2 December 1919.2
