     Jane Wood Mair was born on 6 September 1891 at 255 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of James Mair and Margaret Wood. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Shavie". She married John Phimister at The Palace Hotel, Union Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 19 September 1919.1 As of 19 September 1919, her married name was Jane Wood Phimister. Jane died on 4 April 1974 at age 82.2,1 She was buried after 4 April 1974 at Hillhead Cemetery, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.2
