     Alexander Mair was born circa 1876. He was the son of David Mair and Ann Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Bobbin" or "Bobbin Dandy". Alexander Mair was a fisherman. He married Jessie Ann Findlay at Seafield Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 18 November 1898.1,2 He married Mary Cordiner Buchan at The Waverley Hotel, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 17 August 1917.2
The Buckie and District Directory for 1925 shows that Alexander Mair lived at 30 Seafield Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.3 Alexander died on 12 September 1930 at 30 Seafield Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.4,2
