     Alexander Sclater was born on 18 May 1829.1 He was baptized on 19 May 1829 at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of George Sclater and Anne Wood. Alexander Sclater was also known as Alexander Slater. He was the informant for, and present at, Anne Wood's death at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 11 October 1874.2
