     Catherine Ann Mair was born on 10 September 1873 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of George Mair and Helen Wood. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Shavie". She married John Findlay at Zion Chapel, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 3 December 1897.1 As of 3 December 1897, her married name was Catherine Findlay. Catherine Ann Mair died on 17 June 1906 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 32.1
