Helen Mair Liston was born on 12 May 1898 at 1 Wester Close, Newhaven, Leith, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Liston and Charlotte Mair. She married James O'Neil Smith at 52 Polmuir Road, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 10 August 1917.1 As of 10 August 1917, her married name was Helen Mair Smith. Helen died on 1 April 1971 at 105 Balnagask Road, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 72.1
